The League of Women Voters of Roseville Area will host a presentation and discussion on community mental health on Tuesday March 21st from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Autumn Grove Park Building, 1365 Lydia Avenue West, Roseville.

Molli Slade, an experienced community-based licensed mental health social worker, will speak about community mental health. The discussion will focus on how to effectively engage and support people diagnosed with or showing symptoms of mental health issues, including suicidal ideation, depression and psychosis. It will include how we can start and maintain difficult conversations, what resources are available, and what resources are still needed.

Molli is a LSW who has worked in the community mental health and chemical dependency field for more than fifteen years. She has created trainings and presented to members of the criminal justice system, is part of the Imagine Roseville community inclusion planning team, and is vice chair on the City of Roseville Human Rights Commission.  She is currently enrolled as a master's candidate at University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine's School of Social Work where she is an Area of Emphasis in Aging scholar.
