End Taxation Without Representation - September 17

In November 2016, 86% of Washington DC citizens voted to petition Congress for statehood for the residential and commercial parts of the city.  Find out why statehood will give the residents of DC their first representation in Congress since 1801.

The Leagues of Women Voters of New Brighton and Roseville Area will host a presentation by a member of the District of Columbia League of Women Voters to discuss the path for DC statehood.  Monday, September 17, 6:30 p.m. - Gathering; 7:00 p.m. - Speaker.  New Brighton Community Center, 400 10th St. N.W., New Brighton, on the northeast corner of 10th St. (same as Long Lake Rd.) and Old Highway 8.
